HERMÈS, AKA “TEDDY” IS A 2012 KWPN GELDING BY BELISSIMO M, OUT OF BALOCIA X FLORENCIO.

He has schooled most of the work for the Prix St. Georges, but has only competed through Third Level in the US with scores to the mid-60s. Teddy is a super sweet guy, and a pleasure to be around in the barn. He stands 17.1 hands (175cm) tall. He is best suited for a competent rider who doesn’t mind a bit of feel in the hands, but who has a some ambition to get in the ring with a horse with some presence.

Teddy certainly has impressive breeding on both sides of his pedigree. Belissimo M was an Olympic Grand Prix horse under Hayley Beresford. His daughter, Bella Rose, also made an Olympic team with Isabell Werth. There are countless other examples of Belissimo M’s influence in dressage sport at the highest levels.

Teddy’s damsire, Florencio, is no stranger to the international spotlight either. With two World Young Horse Championship titles to his name and having competed to Intermediare II internationally with Hans-Peter Minderhoud before retiring to his stallion duties. The sire of nearly 40 approved stallions, Florencio has definitely left his mark.
