Colido –

Colido is a 17h (173cm) gelding who has scores through Third Level with a junior rider, and is schooling the PSG. He’s a fairly easy-going guy that’s uncomplicated to work around in the barn.

 

Under saddle, he goes on the bit fairly easily and is comfortable to sit. While not an extravagant mover, he does show 3 good quality gaits with nice rhythm. He has an easy single change, and is coming along with counted changes. His lateral work is fairly solid, and the pirouettes are almost there. With just a bit more polish, he should have no trouble getting out to a PSG test this year.

 

Colido is just as happy going out for a hack as he is in the arena, and is comfortable both by himself and with other horses.

 

As he’s coming 16 years old this year, he does require a bit of maintenance, but nothing that you wouldn’t expect. He’s got a good amount of serviceable life left in him though as a Young Rider mount or schoolmaster to help you learn and work on your medals. While he is overall a really good guy, Colido is not a beginner’s horse. He does require a rider with at least some confidence and skill.
